EVALUATION - SPARK

SPARK parents also are observed and interviewed on a yearly basis using the Home Observation Measurement of the Environment (HOME). This is done because in SPARK the parent is the crucial intervention as the "child’s learning advocate.” The HOME measures the parent’s ability to play this role in three areas. The following chart shows the improvement that the most at-risk parents make by the time their child enters kindergarten.
